Been a long wait, but it’s finally here!

Everyone’s gonna be talking about Ayanokouji, but personally I’m looking forward to Karuizawa’s time to shine the most since apparently her character got done real dirty in the first season.

After 5 years mannn but all worth it seeing those cold eyes of Ayanokōji again

TL;DU to those who couldn't follow the rules of the special exam:

(1) The entire First Year student body is divided into separate groups, where each group is comprised of different sections i.e. there are representatives for Class 1-A, Class 1-B, etc. In the case of Mars's group, there are 4 members from Class C and D, while three members from Class A and B.

(2) In each group, or planet in this case, a VIP is assigned. The task of the group is to know the VIP by discussing with the group at certain times.

(3) Four cases might happen:

(3.1) The identity of the VIP is shared. This means that members of the given group will be given 500,000 private points, and the VIP will be given 1,000,000 private points.

(3.2) The identity of the VIP is shared, but at least one groupmate gets it wrong or doesn't answer. In that case, only the VIP gets 500,000 private points.

(3.3) A traitor discovers the identity of the VIP, answers before the deadline, and gets it right. In that case, the class where the traitor belongs gets 50 points, and the traitor receives 500,000 points. The class where the VIP belongs gets a 50-point deduction.

(3.4) The traitor gives the identity of the VIP but gets it wrong. In this case, the VIP receives 500,000 private points, and the class where the traitor belongs gets a 50 point deduction. The class where the VIP belongs gets 50 class points.

(4) Additional notes:

(4.1) A traitor giving an answer will terminate the exam for that group, except when he/she is on the same class as of the VIP.

(4.2) The test runs for four days, with six discussions.

(4.3) In case you missed it, Horikita and Kiyotaka were not at the same room and at the same time when the exam is explained.

(5) Addendum: Class A's strategy is not to talk or discuss the identity of the VIP, to avoid getting accidentally caught (if they are the VIP) or to avoid leading the traitor to knowing the identity of the VIP. This is beneficial for them since if the exam finishes through second option, they can still be on top without much changes in the class points. This is basically what Ichinose has raised when Class A students proposed this idea.

Well it's kinda sounds complicated but it's not as hard to understand as it sounds so basically option one: everybody answers the same and they all get 500k with the VIP getting 1m
option 2: at least one person answers wrong in which case only the VIP gets 500k
Option 3: someone finds out who the VIP is and answers they get 500k and their class gets 50p and VIP's class losses 50p
Last option: they thought wrong and their class losses 50p and VIP's class gets 50p and VIP gets 500k

Class A's plan: basically to do nothing and monopolize the points 😂😂

Rather than monopolize the points, Class A's plan is to keep the status quo between the classes. Assuming the rule of fairness, there should be an equal distribution of VIPs among all the classes so if Class A's plan plays out, the point distrubution between the classes would all be the same. In this case nobody gains or loses anything, and the class rankings remain the same with no change. This of course benefits the people already at the top while getting rid of the chance for people at the bottom to climb up.

Yeah ik that's why I said monopolize cause they're trying to keep everybody in the same place and won't help the other classes win

Another thing to add - In the light novel the original names of the groups were based on the chinese zodiacs and not the planets.

So in the novel were 4 more groups? I wonder if that was the reason for the change, trying to make each group a tad larger or shorten the air time they have to devote to this one test

I don't think the rules.. and results are that hard to understand... actually participating and attempting to manipulate groups of people who don't trust each other... is obviously the tough part.. which thankfully we can just watch happen... don't have to play along at home xD

Well if you look at it not discussing it would leave the traitor with a 33% or a 1 in 3 chance to discover the VIP in a 4 person group while it leaves leaves a 50% chance or 1 in 2 chance of it in a 3 person group. Keeping quiet would work better in a 4 person group but there is still the chance on luck alone that the traitor would figure it out or by questions asked deciphering who the VIP is. Sounds like the best course of action is for the VIP to figure out who the traitor is then try to grab the attention of the non-traitor teammates while preventing it slipping to the traitor. Meanwhile it is best for the traitor to pretend to be like the rest who are trying to figure out the traitor and VIP and blend in casually to try to get the VIP to hint it to them as well. Honestly sounds like a real game of wits and head games. Mostly for the VIP and traitors over the clueless detectives trying to piece out the 2 tugging at their perspectives.

Yeah you can say that. Btw from this season I'll completely stop watching the seasonal animes. I won't watched all of them like I used to do but yeah I'll show up on the sequels or the REALLY good ones.

I've been through university. Don't worry. Even on a full time you'll tend to have lots of time. 3 hour classes are usually normal standards and they aren't usually one after the other with most people doing 5 a week on full time. This may have split classes sometimes too that may make you attend a couple more. You won't be experiencing your time in classes like you did in high school and may even have several apart waiting around. Might want a laptop which is highly standard for college and university students and you'll generally have some free crappy wifi.

A lot of students will tend to consider jobs between schooling. You still have student loans you'll need to pay off after all and it helps to start paying them off sooner then later. My advice though is if work gets in the way of getting top grades then just focus on schooling alone though. Your grades are a bit more important and will support your future career more or if you intend to advance further then college. Jobs can wait and some of your reasoning for college and university is for that better income you'll make outside being in a field you enjoy and more career opportunities. On the side note avoid summer schooling as it cramps the work load and tends to lead to lower grades and failure. I also suggest to try to get some experience through work in the field your after when your in college. It'll help for getting into a career after it if you already have some experience in the field. You'll be hunting down the field of your interest more then the job of your interest usually as there is less chance of your dream job then your dream field. From working in your field you'll gain experience and through various jobs with a lengthy time with them you might get a chance at your dream job. Never hurts to be applying for it regardless. Look for resources while attending. I suck at grammar so for me writing coaches were a huge support and it helped with upping my marks where I was getting A+ averages just for working with my writing coaches. Those extra resources are a godsend btw and a key to success.

My other advice for you is go to the used book store ASAP to buy textbooks. This will save you hundreds on costs for the books. Also sooner the better. Often those used books will get sold out if you're not quick. Make sure you're getting the right version of the textbook also. Often several versions are made throughout the years and sometimes that ends up being critical as the prof. expects the proper version. I guess information may be likely to change between prints. Asides that you might get to enjoy time with your new classmates. Honestly University was really some of the best times of my life. Hope you have fun and enjoy your classes. Though be expecting still a lot of free time.

Well we're also getting Devil is a Part Timer season 2. That was like a Decade ago. Believe second season of Made in Abyss will also be this season which it's been a wile since the first season. Supposedly there's an anime called Bast**d that was originally released in the 90's being remade this summer also.

Devil is a part timer, Overlord and Dan Machi are the big three I'm looking forward to the most this season.
